She has served as Counselor at the Permanent Mission of Cabo Verde to the UN, Vice-Coordinator of Experts of the Third Committee of the African Group, Desk Officer for Cabo Verde cooperation and the United Nations System, Secretary of the National Directorate of Political Affairs and Cooperation of the Division of Multilateral Affairs of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Desk Officer at the Directorate-General for International Cooperation, and National Coordinator of the Paris Declaration on Aid Effectiveness.

She has also been a French teacher in secondary education in the city of Praia.
