Dr. Rui Figueiredo Soares, Minister of Foreign Affairs, Cooperation, and Regional Integration, attended today, March 18, 2024, the inauguration ceremony of the Embassy of the Republic of India in Cabo Verde.

The unveiling of the plaque was performed by the Cape Verdean Diplomacy Chief and the Additional Secretary of the Ministry of External Affairs of India, responsible for Central and West Africa affairs within said Ministry.

In his speech, Minister Rui Figueiredo Soares congratulated the Ambassador of the Republic of India in Cabo Verde, expressing the government's full readiness to strengthen relations with India. In fact, the two countries have today embarked on new chapters in their cooperation relations with the holding of the first Bilateral Consultation Meeting.

The Embassy of the Republic of India is located in the Quebra Canela area.
